We were so happy when Rachel Christy with Alaska Blooms Peony Farm asked us to take a stab at giving her digital marketing a facelift with a new Alaska Blooms website revamp.

Her goals:

  1. Educate new customers about her peony varieties,
  2. Cater to DIY brides,
  3. Build visibility with more wholesale markets; and
  4. Develop an online ethos around her company that matched her instagram and Facebook accounts. Oh, and
  5. She wanted to get found for people looking to buy late season peonies (yes, that is an odd thing about Alaska).

Website Revamp That Focused on a Local, Alaskan Farm and their Custom Product

A fresh website and some good fun SEO research was in order for us.  Now it’s time to admit that we completely cheated, I mean, look at the pictures on her website revamp. They are to-die-for. It was easy to get a look and feel or the website solely based on her media that she came to us with. It also afforded us the change to play with color and really focus on the story of the farm.  We needed to focus on three different markets: brides, local flower buyers, and national wholesale buyers. To do this we split the product offerings into three different product pages while concurrently developing a keyword strategy targeted towards these three customer bases.

We hope to see flowers flying off the bushes in Alaska Blooms’ future.
